If you are driving
The AP-7 and exit 5 at Orriols are the main reference points when travelling to L’Escala from Barcelona or Girona.

Follow the AP-7 towards Girona / France. Leave at exit 5 at Orriols and continue along the GI-623 towards L’Escala.

From the airport, join the AP-7 towards Figueres / France and continue via exit 5 and the GI-623 to L’Escala. For a taxi or transfer, agree the fare and destination before travelling.

Take a bus from the airport to Girona, then change to a bus to L’Escala. Check both timetables for your arrival date; the connection adds to your journey time.

Follow the airport exit signs towards Girona to join the AP-7 north. Leave at exit 5 at Orriols, then follow the GI-623 to L’Escala. Allow additional time for baggage collection and, if renting, collecting your car.

One option is the R2 Nord train from T2 to Barcelona-Sants, a train to Girona, then a bus to L’Escala. From T1, take the free shuttle to T2. Check connections for your travel date and allow time between each leg.

You can also travel without a car
L’Escala has no railway station. Take a train to Girona and continue by bus; from Barcelona, also check bus services to L’Escala for your chosen date.

Look for a train from Barcelona-Sants to Girona and check the onward bus connection before buying tickets.

Check the Girona–L’Escala bus route and stops for your travel date. Timetables and frequencies may change with the season.
The final leg to the house
Check your arrival stop and arrange your journey from there to Can Ratxa, especially with luggage or children.
